College Avenue Secondary School
2025-2026 Safe and Inclusive School Plan
Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.
Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.
The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.
Key Priorities and Goals
This year we are focusing on building an inclusive school culture, promoting mental wellness and developing healthy relationships.
We are doing this to create a positive school climate by encouraging more positive student interactions and improving awareness of mental health supports.
Key Actions or Strategies
- Using a restorative practices approach to build empathy, resolve conflict and develop relationships.
- Leading initiatives that promote inclusion, equity and respect for our differences.
-
Communicating mental health supports more frequently and revisiting the essential conditions for learning more regularly.
Community and Home Connections
- Ask your child to explain a positive interaction that they had at school today.
- Explore the Thames Valley Mental Health Website for information and resources on supporting your student’s mental health.
- Check out this resource called the Universal Way of Addressing Concerns to help challenge inappropriate behaviour.
